Gear list
I have been shooting for almost 40 years. My cameras in the past have included The Canon AE1, Canon T90, Eos1, Rolleiflex, Bronica, Hasselblad, Polaroid, Diana, Hasselblad, Sinar , Toyo, Yashica and currently Canon DSLR . The Canon DSLR family has been my go to 35mm for cost, user interface, and quality of the digital files for the past decade. I have shot projects for the NYC DOT, The New York Times Magazine, and National Geographic. I have used a wide range of systems on these commissions including The Canon 20d, 30d, 40d, 50d, 60d, 70d, 5D1, 1dsMk2, 5dmk2, 6d, 5dmk3, 5dmk4, and currently my body of choice is the 5ds for its 50+ MP sensor. Portability and speed are issue for some of my shoots but when time allows I love to bring my Toyo 4x5 out for personal projects. The past 15 years have concentrated my photography on capture of our industrial landscape . I am still an advocate of the print portfolio. When you go to a meeting with a prospect or client and get out a print book I still think it helps more then getting out a piece of touch sensitive glass for showing still work. I have been using products for a number of years. I started with the adhesive strips but found that for me I was not careful enough to get everything aligned. I moved over to the Pina Zangaro scored paper paper which is a pre-schored pre-trimmed version of the Moab Lasal 235 Matt double sided matt which I has reproduced my work very nicely. Printed with the epson 3880. Tamron 70-200 2.8 IS! WOW. I am extremely happy with the lens. I have used it in a number of projects now and very happy with the image stabilization! It is about 50% less $$ then its Canon big sister ( which just got an update, check back soon for my thoughts!) but weighs in the same both in weight and quality.
